When does full protection kick in?
Partial protection begins ~14 days after dose 1 (~50–80% efficacy). Full protection: 14 days after completing the series. mRNA vaccines: 2 doses 3–4 weeks apart. Adenoviral: 4–12 weeks apart. Protection wanes over months; boosters recommended per CDC guidelines.
