Bedside sepsis screening without lab tests.
qSOFA uses three bedside criteria: RR ≥ 22, SBP ≤ 100, altered mentation. Score ≥ 2 identifies patients with suspected infection at higher risk of death or prolonged ICU stay. qSOFA is a screening tool, not diagnostic for sepsis. Positive qSOFA should prompt full SOFA assessment and lactate measurement.
