Estimate your daily BaP exposure from lifestyle sources.

Benzo[a]pyrene

BaP is a Group 1 carcinogen (IARC) found in charred food, cigarette smoke, and vehicle exhaust. A heavily charred steak can contain 4–50 ng/g. Each cigarette delivers ~20–40 ng. EU limit in smoked foods: 5 µg/kg. Minimize exposure by avoiding charring food, not smoking, and reducing time near heavy traffic.
